May graduates will be invited to participate in the December 11, 2020 commencement ceremony. UAM will confer earned degrees and diplomas will be mailed to students in late June. March 17, 2020 UAM Announces Instruction Will Remain Online Until End of Spring Semester The announced today that it will continue to deliver all instruction in an online setting through the end of the Spring 2020 semester. The university will continue to remain open. Residence halls and food service also remain open. Students at the UAM Colleges of Technology will receive communication about specific lab-based programs. All UAM faculty and staff will continue to offer student support services. Students should be checking Blackboard and university email regularly for class instructions and other important updates. March 12, 2020 Statement from Dr. Peggy Doss, UAM Chancellor, Regarding Coronavirus The University has been proactive in its approach to its response to the Coronavirus. UAM began preparations several weeks ago by assembling a UAM command team, updating the existing Pandemic Response Plan, and strategically planning steps to take if an outbreak were to occur. UAM is poised to respond to this situation as it evolves. Out of an abundance of caution, UAM campuses, including the Colleges of Technology in McGehee and Crossett, have moved all instruction to a virtual setting until at least Monday, March 30. Residential students have also begun the process of moving off campus until after spring break. It is very important to note that at this time we are not aware of any confirmed cases of Coronavirus among any UAM students, faculty or staff. We are extremely grateful for the work of our faculty and staff, who have ensured uninterrupted instruction and delivery of our student services.
